Here is the harsh reality.
Narendra Rocherolle and Nick Wilder don’t give a damn about you, your photos, and certainly not your satisfaction as a customer. You want to know why their customer service is non-existent? Because once they hijacked all the photos from Webshots, whether you stayed with Smile or not was of no concern to them.
They needed storage space for their cloud-based app Message Bus. All those beautiful Webshots photos were compressed and the image quality reduced so they could have more space. The transition wasn’t about Webshots to Smile by Webshots, it was about transitioning us out the door and don’t let it hit you on the way out. Those who don’t question the move will continue lining the pockets of Narendra and Nick while receiving none of the services Webshots was known for. More storage and more money. It’s a win-win for them and a lose-lose for us.
Their complete and utter disregard for the people who helped make them a success was breathtaking in its contemptuousness. Maybe they were decent people at one time, but arrogance has long since clouded their good judgement. What they did was heartless and cruel. Do they feel even a twinge of remorse? I’d like to think so, but it’s doubtful.
